Walk to End Alzheimer’s on November 18 at BR’s Highland Road Park

BATON ROUGE, LA, OCTOBER 25, 2017 – The Alzheimer’s Association® is inviting Baton Rouge residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Walk will take place on Saturday, November 18th at BREC Highland Road Community Park.

Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s participants will complete a 1.5 mile walk and will learn about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services from the Alzheimer’s Association. Walk participants will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

“Finding our first survivor is our top priority. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Baton Rouge puts us one step closer to this goal. We’re raising awareness about this disease and also raising money to advance a cure. The Alzheimer’s Association is the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia research.” said Courtney Nuckolls, Special Events Coordinator for the Association. “We invite everyone in Baton Rouge, and our neighboring communities, to join us on Saturday, November 18th as we join the fight for Alzheimer’s first survivor!”

In addition to the Walk, participants will enjoy children’s activities, food, and music.
