“Mrs. Gayle has been in Ascension Parish her entire career including while student teaching. I had the pleasure of working alongside her at Dutchtown High School and believe she will be an asset at Central Middle School,” said Superintendent David Alexander.
Originally from Lake Charles, Gayle student taught at Galvez Middle and St. Amant High schools while attending Louisiana State University. Upon graduation, she taught eighth grade math at Galvez Middle for four years before moving to Dutchtown High School to teach geometry. In 2012, she became an instructional coach for Central Middle and St. Amant Middle schools. Gayle moved to Donaldsonville High School in 2014 as a master teacher before returning to Dutchtown High School this year.
“I began student teaching in this wonderful district and am very thankful for that. There are many administrators, current and former, that have molded me for this new role,” said Gayle. “I look forward to working with my new Central family and am excited to grow under Principal Monica Hill’s leadership.”
Gayle earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary math with a minor in sociology and a master’s degree in educational leadership from LSU.
